Frequently Asked Questions.

  • Wow! Tough crowd!

I mean, I like to think so with over 10 years’ professional experience working with major global brands

    BUT:

    1. No-one likes a show off!

    2. Don’t take my word for it! If you’d like to see how my voice fits your brand, email me to request a free demo.

  • Basically, as quickly as I can.

I usually aim for either same day audio delivery or within 24 hours, depending on the length of the voice project and my availability. Just let me know the timescale you’re working to.

  • Most of the time, I record from my own broadcast quality studio but I’m based in London so if you have a favourite studio here then I’m more than happy to travel in - it’s always nice to get out!

  • Most definitely you can and at no extra cost.

I can connect to you from my broadcast quality studio through Zoom, Skype, Teams, Phone, Cleanfeed, Source Connect Now… however you like.

  • Lovely news and of course. Here are some quick links:

If you need anything else go to my Listen page or Email me.

  • My accent is often described as ‘neutral Scottish’ meaning it’s not particularly area distinctive and I voice campaigns across the country.

I’m originally from Fife though, which is between Edinburgh and Dundee.

This means my native accent is particularly local to those regions and more generally, the east coast of Scotland and the central belt.

  • I also record voiceovers daily in an English RP accent. Also known as ‘general British accent’ if you’re from outside the UK.

  • My skills lie in everything voice.

Voicing is what I do best and although I always clean up the files before I send them to you, if you’d like any extra ‘fancier’ editing (e.g. adding music, sound effects, extensive de-breathing and mastering) I like to get an audio editing expert on the case. Usually this costs an additional £30.00 + VAT.

If you’re still looking for the right music for your project, I’d recommend browsing the Beats Bakery library.

  • If this is your first time working with a Voiceover Artist, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! Or even if you’re a seasoned pro and you need anything in the process explained or talked through then drop me an email and we can go from there. Everyone has their own style of working.

Before we even get to quoting stage I need to understand your project.

Some areas to think about providing me with are:

    • The genre of your script (e.g. is it a commercial, e-learning, audio tour, on-hold, ADR, animation or game?)

    • The rough word count.

    • Where the project is going to be heard (e.g. is it an internal training video or will it be broadcasting on radio, TV or online?).

    • Your deadline.

    • If you’d like me to self-record or if you want to direct me live.

    • Your rough budget.

If you don’t have some of this information or are undecided I can provide you with various options.

  • Every voiceover has their own rates which vary depending on factors like the genre, where the voiceover is being used and the audience reach. If you’d like to use my voice just email me and we can speak through your project and pricing.

If you want to do some research and get a general idea of pricing in different genres and geographies I recommend following this link to the Gravy For The Brain’s Voiceover Rate Card

  • You can indeed. I charge £50.00 + VAT for one hour studio hire.

My studio has self-recording capabilities, along with remote link-up via video calling platforms and remote recording services, such as Source Connect Now, Cleanfeed and ipDTL.

  • My standard payment terms are 30 days from supplying the invoice.

  • Like the millennial I am, I am ALWAYS near a screen but as I’m in an out of sessions all day it’s best to email me at blanche@blancheanderson.com

    Look forward to speaking!

  • I can indeed. The voiceover world is a small one and I have a plethora of talented voice-over colleagues.

But, as a regional female Voiceover Artist myself, I’ll start with some fellow regional accent voiceovers:

Noni Lewis is a talented Welsh Voiceover Artist - so talented she voices in English AND Welsh language! And if that’s not enough, Noni is a trained actor, writer and director. Find out more here.

Need an authentic Northern Irish voiceover? Nicola Redman is your gal. And to add to the skillset, Nic is also a fabulous Vocal Coach. Visit her website to learn more.

James Miller is a young, conversational, British male Voiceover Artist, with a neutral Midlands accent. James offers same-day voiceover sessions from his fabulous broadcast quality studio. Learn more here.
